Open Post to Peer Reviewers (Fine Cut Actually)

This is actually my fine cut because my life is a mess right now but just go with it

Key information: Not much, only that if the video quality isn't as high as it could be there was literally nothing I could do, I had my laptop camera and iMovie to work with. But I think it's not terrible quality, I mean you can pretty clearly see what I'm doing so it should be fine

Issues or weaknesses: None really, seeing as this is my fine cut. I'm a little worried content wise, but honestly I'm always worried. I'm not worried for any particular reason other than I really want to do well.

Strengths: I think the editing is pretty good! I went back and reenacted moments from the projects as they pertained to my time management, learning new technology, and my writing process and edited them in a concise yet detailed (ha) manner. I think that part is pretty money.

Without further ado, Fine Cut

Peer Review of James Fusaro

LAST PEER REVIEW EVER AHHHHHH *smashes flower pot with a broomstick*

  • James Fusaro- English 109H Project 4 Draft
  • I'm making a recommendation about form!
  • I think I helped because while he uses form well, there are lots more things he could do with it so I'm suggesting that instead of making it purely him talking at a screen, he could keep the audio from that and recreate visuals of his struggles and successes which is what I'm doing. Also, he could have a script so the tone isn't so casual. Casual is good, but it's more of a storytelling at this point.
  • I think my suggestion from student's guide comes from evidence- it's more unconventional but personal experience is totally evidence, which I made use of in my last project and this one. He should show himself walking through these steps and learning, failing, and then succeeding. It would add a lot.
  • Like James said, I think he covered the content really well. If I can do that with his content success and my visual ideas, I'll be doing great.

Editorial Report 15b

More things changed, let's talk about them!

1. Content only changed a little, there were some places that I didn't like my word choice so I edited that just a tad. Nothing special.

2. Form did a complete 180 because I actually recorded this yay! I sat down, put on some clothing that doesn't look like I'm about to get on an airplane and did my talking portion of the video. Of course this was the easy part, but at least I got it out of the way...24 hours before the due date. I can do this.

And once again, I'd like to apologize if the video quality isn't super sharp, I only have my laptop (and my phone, which I tried- it's worse) so I'm trying to edit it but further than that I can't do anything about it.

Also, it says the video is still being processed because I literally just now uploaded it. So hopefully I don't get any peer reviews in like the next 30 seconds

Peer Review 14

I'm going to do my second to last peer review ever! Yay!

  • Content Adaptation- Alexis Morrison
  • I'm making a recommendation about form!
  • I think I helped because other than the obvious "film it" (which I can say to myself too so like no hypocrites here) I told her I liked how she incorporated other images and videos that she wanted to add and focused on each project, and just recommended that it be filmed to get a better visual for the audience.
  • My recommendation comes, sort of, from the organization part of student's guide, but honestly not much in student's guide fit the changes that should be made to this. I recommended that it be more detailed and filmed so the visuals can be more effective, but other than that the script looks good.
  • I liked how she focused on each project individually! I'm planning on doing that but more so to bring out specific examples of how I succeeded/failed so I liked to see that in another project.

Production Report B

So first of all, I'm sorry this isn't a video yet. There were extenuating circumstances this weekend so right now it's just script. But I know what the video is going to look like, so that helps me answer these questions.

1. The form for this section is basic too. I'll just be looking at the camera talking so I can anchor the reiteration of everything that I focused on in the video without having any other distracting things going on. Distracting things will be in the supporting middle sections.

2. Again, production was iffy because it was only halfway produced. But that's coming very soon I promise. Again, my look wasn't ready because of the schedule of Saturday. Hopefully tomorrow will do me better and I can get this produced ASAP.

Outline Item: Conclusion

Script for my conclusion!

Production Report

So first of all, I'm sorry this isn't a video yet. There were extenuating circumstances this weekend so right now it's just script. But I know what the video is going to look like, so that helps me answer these questions.

1. So this form is basic. This part of the video is just going to be myself talking because I want the viewer to really focus on what I'm saying. It won't be this way for the whole video but this is the intro/conclusion format.

2. Production went sort of badly because I didn't produce it all the way, because of what was going on this weekend I couldn't have my consistent look ready to be in this video so I'll have to film it either tomorrow or during next deadline. I'll try to do it tomorrow so you guys can actually see the content. However you're not missing much, imagine this text but just me saying it to a camera- not much artistic license here yet.

Outline Item: Introduction

Without further ado, the script for my introduction.
